Verification
Real people, matched to their photos.
Verifying takes one live selfie, holding a pose the app picks at random. A person on our team compares it with your profile photos, and once approved, your profile shows the Verified badge.
Verified members carry the badge, sit higher in search, and can post and apply on the Board.

How it works
One selfie, one person checking it
Add your photos
Your first public photo shows your face. That is the photo the check compares against.
Strike the pose
The app shows a pose, chosen at random, and opens your camera. Hold the pose and take the selfie live. An old photo cannot match a pose you have only just seen.
A person reviews it
A reviewer on our team compares your selfie with your profile photos. A person makes the decision. Once approved, the badge appears on your profile.
Why a pose
Proof you are here, now
Anyone can copy a pretty photo from somewhere else. Nobody can copy a pose they learn a moment before the camera opens. That is the whole trick, and it is why a verified profile belongs to the person in the pictures.
Fake profiles are a familiar problem: half of online daters in one US survey say accounts set up to scam people are very common.1 The pose check is our answer.

What we keep
Three things, and one of them goes
We store the selfie, the decision and the date. Nothing else from the check.
The selfie is deleted 30 days after the decision. The decision and the date stay with your account, so the badge can show when you verified. Delete your account and your profile and photos go within 30 days.
The selfie
Compared by a reviewer. Deleted 30 days after the decision.
The decision
Approved or declined.
The date
Shown on your badge as a month.
No documents
We ask for no licence, passport or card to verify.
The badge
What Verified means
Verified plus the month, for example "Verified, September 2026"
It means a person on our team saw a live selfie and confirmed it matches the profile photos, in that month. The face in the photos belongs to the person you are talking to.
What it does not mean
It is not an identity document or age document check. The badge does not confirm a name, an age, a job or a bank balance. An ID check is to be announced.
So keep the usual habits. Video call before you meet: a camera that "does not work" is a classic sign of a fake profile.2 Never send money to someone you have not met in person.3

Doing it again
Changed your photo? Verify again.
The check matches you to your first photo. Change that photo and the badge asks for a fresh selfie, so it always vouches for the face people see first.
To redo it, open your profile, choose the Verification tab and take a new selfie with a new pose. A person reviews it the same way.
