How Dateable works
Six steps: join, verify, search, the Board, messages, meeting. At every one of them you decide who sees you, who reaches you and how far it goes.

01 Join
A profile in your own words
Joining is free. Choose your side: generous or attractive. Any gender fits either side, and who you are looking for is a separate choice. You can change sides once.
Add a photo, a headline, a few details and an "about" of at least 50 characters. That opens browsing. Your first public photo shows your face. Every photo is reviewed before anyone else sees it, and hidden file data, such as where it was taken, is stripped on upload.
Your control
Your age shows; your date of birth never does. Income and net worth bands are optional. Keep up to 12 photos in a private album and grant or revoke access one member at a time.
02 Verify
Real people, checked by a person
Take a live selfie holding a pose the app picks at random. A reviewer compares it with your profile photos. Pass, and your profile carries a Verified badge with the month.
Verifying unlocks messages, full Board listings, applying and posting. If you change your first photo, you verify again.
Verification confirms you match your photos. It is not an ID document check.

03 Search
Look around at your own pace
Search by city and the details that matter to you. Favourite the profiles you like and come back to them. Your home screen shows who is new near you and who was recently active.
Your control
Block someone and they never see you again: not in search, not on the Board, not in messages. Pause your profile to disappear from view and keep everything for when you return.
04 The Board
Post the date. Choose who joins you.
A member posts an invitation: the occasion, the city, the day and what they offer. Verified members apply with a short note. The host shortlists, declines with a kind fixed message, and accepts one guest per place. A private conversation opens between them. The guest confirms within 48 hours.
Your control
You see the host's profile before you apply, and you can withdraw. The venue name shows only to the accepted guest. Listings never carry phone numbers or links, never ask a guest for money, and never set a private home or hotel room as the first meeting place.
Dateable never holds or moves money between members. The offer is the host's own statement.

05 Messages
Say what you want before you meet
Any member with a complete profile can message, free. Talk about expectations early: how often, what kind of dates, what generosity looks like to each of you. A plain opener works: "I liked your line about weekend markets. What would your ideal Sunday look like?"
Messages are free on both sides. Reply promptly and fully: it lifts you in search.
Your control
Block or report is one press from every conversation. A report reaches a person.
06 Meet
Somewhere beautiful, somewhere public
Meet in a hotel bar, not the room. Tell a friend where you will be. For a Board date, you both get a first-date safety checklist the day before.
Afterwards you can leave a private rating and say whether you would meet again. Ratings are never public; they help keep the Board fair. Late cancellations and no-shows are recorded, and three in 90 days pauses posting or applying for 30 days.
Your control
End it whenever you want. Delete your account and your profile, photos and messages are gone within 30 days.
