How to get your Board listing through review first time
The Board review flags a short list of patterns and refuses them. Leave them out and your listing opens in hours, not days.

Your Board listing goes through review so the platform stays safe and your invitation reaches people who can actually meet you. A short list of things gets stopped. Leave those out and your listing opens in hours, not days.
How the review works
Automatic checks run first. They check for contact details, payment requests, and a few other patterns. If your listing passes the checks, a person reads it to make sure the meeting is safe and the invitation is genuine.
The target is under 12 hours from the time you post. If an automatic check flags something, a person will look at it even if the check is wrong. If you appeal a refusal and get stopped twice, a person reviews your appeal.
Contact details will be refused
Never put your phone number, email, social media handle or any other way to reach you outside Dateable in your invitation. The platform gives you messages for a reason: they are safer for both of you than a direct line. Someone who insists on talking off-app before meeting is usually a scammer or a time-waster.
Members message each other on Dateable and sort out a place and time. When you have agreed to meet, you can exchange contact details if you both want to. Until then, stay in the app.
Do not ask the other person to pay
Your invitation is your offer. You decide what you offer, and the people who apply decide whether they want it. If you name a price or ask someone to cover costs, your listing will be refused.
This includes requests disguised as questions: Do not ask someone to split the bill, pay for their own drink, chip in for petrol, or cover anything else. Dateable never holds or moves money between members. Any payment is between you outside the app, and only after you have met and both agreed.
No first meetings at yours or theirs
Your listing will be refused if the first meeting is at a home, apartment or hotel room. The Board is for dates, trips, events and ongoing arrangements with a time and a place in the outside world.
Once you know someone and trust them, meeting at home is up to you. First meetings need to be somewhere both of you feel safe. A bar, a restaurant, a cafe, a park or a walk are all good. A private room or home is not.
Nothing sexual or paid for by intimacy
Dateable is dating. Your listing will be refused if it describes sex, hints that intimacy is part of what you offer, prices anything by intimacy, or reads like you are offering anything beyond a date, a trip or an event.
This is the hardest rule to state without a long list, but the pattern is this: if someone could read your invitation and think they are buying sex or intimacy, it will be stopped.
Nothing about youth or newness
Do not mention age as an appeal. Do not say you want someone young, new to dating, first time, virgin, or inexperienced. Do not write anything that suggests you are looking for someone because they are youthful or innocent.
Members are 18 or over. An 18-year-old is a legal adult, and so is a 50-year-old. Write about what makes you a good date, not why age itself excites you.
What happens if you get refused
If your listing is refused, the app tells you which rule flagged it. Read that rule and rewrite. A tiny change is usually enough. Move the meeting outside. Take out the contact details. Say what you offer instead of what you want paid.
Appeal once if you think the reviewer missed something. If you are refused twice, a person will read your second refusal before you appeal again. Most listings that get stopped once repost and open on the next try. Most people who fail twice have misread one of the rules.
I host a monthly dinner for people on the Board. I describe the food, the place and the time. I say that I pay, and that I am looking for someone to enjoy an evening with. It opens in under an hour.
That works because the invitation is clear, the meeting is in public, and nothing in it breaks the rules.
Before you post
The community rules are short and they are not hidden. Read them. Then read your invitation as if you are a stranger. Does it ask for money? Does it name a sex act? Does it hint? Does the meeting happen in a home? Does it mention age as an appeal?
If you are posting for the first time, read the guide to posting for the full picture. Then post your invitation. If it passes, it is live in hours. If it is refused, you will know why, and your next post will open.
