Two people on a date

You need words to describe what you want: how often you will meet, whether you want exclusivity, how private the arrangement stays, and what kind of support or experiences matter to you. Here are concrete lines for each, from gentle to direct, with versions for both the generous and attractive side.

How often you want to meet

Frequency shapes everything. Someone looking for weekly dates imagines a different relationship from someone who means once a month. Weekly feels like building something; monthly feels like occasional plans. Name what you are looking for, because that is the rhythm your relationship will follow.

Generous member, gentle:

I'm hoping to find someone to see regularly. Weekly would be ideal if we click.

Generous member, direct:

Looking for a consistent arrangement. I expect to see you weekly.

Attractive member, gentle:

I'm looking for someone I can see regularly, ideally once a week or more.

Attractive member, direct:

I want to meet weekly. If that doesn't fit your schedule, we are probably not aligned.

Whether you want exclusivity

Some arrangements are exclusive; others are not. Exclusivity changes how you both behave and who you can talk to. Say which one you want now, or your date will guess wrong and you will both feel betrayed later.

Generous member, gentle:

I'm looking for someone I'm exclusive with. I expect the same from my partner.

Generous member, direct:

This must be exclusive. I don't share.

Attractive member, gentle:

I'm open to exclusivity if we connect. Let's talk about what feels right.

Attractive member, direct:

I date only one person at a time. I'd expect you to do the same.

How much privacy you want

Privacy means different things to different people. You might want it completely secret. You might be fine with close friends knowing. You might want to be open with your family. Say what you mean, because the other person needs to know what kind of life they are signing up for.

Generous member, gentle:

I keep my personal life private. I'd need the same discretion from you.

Generous member, direct:

Complete discretion is non-negotiable for me.

Attractive member, gentle:

I'm private about my arrangements. I'd ask the same of you.

Attractive member, direct:

This stays between us. If you talk about it, we're done.

The kind of support or experiences you want

Generosity takes many forms. Help with bills. Nice dinners. Travel. A mentor who opens doors. Tickets to events that matter to you. The person reading your profile needs to know what you mean by support and what excites you, so they can picture whether they can be that person.

Generous member, gentle:

I enjoy taking someone I care about to nice places. Travel, restaurants, experiences matter to me.

Generous member, direct:

I'm looking for someone I can spoil. I enjoy high-end experiences and being generous with someone who appreciates it.

Attractive member, gentle:

I'm looking for someone who can take me out and help with some of my goals. Experiences and support matter more to me than things.

Attractive member, direct:

I need help with my rent and enjoy nice dinners and travel. That's what I'm looking for.

Putting them together in your profile

You do not need every line in your profile. Pick the ones that matter most and combine them into a paragraph or two. Here is what it might look like:

I'm looking for someone generous who enjoys nice restaurants and experiences. I value privacy and expect exclusivity. Weekly meetings would be ideal. I'm straightforward about what I want and I'd ask the same of you.

Or, from the other side:

I'm hoping to meet someone I can see regularly. I care about discretion and this would be exclusive. I'm looking for financial support and genuine connection. Let's be honest about what we both want.

Neither person has to love the money part for it to be there. But saying it plainly (what you need, how often, what privacy means, what matters) separates the people you want from the people you do not. That is the whole point of being clear. A person looking for something different will scroll past. Someone looking for exactly what you offer will message.

Mix and match to match your situation

  • Use the gentle version if you are nervous, new to this, or want to soften the ask
  • Use the direct version if you know what you want and you want the wrong matches filtered out quickly
  • Mix generous member and attractive member lines if your situation is different from the typical pattern
  • Add detail about what matters: mentoring, travel, creative projects, time, respect for your privacy
  • Remember that every line you add narrows the pool. That is the goal, not a bug

Once your profile is clear, read how to talk about expectations for the conversation that follows once you match. If allowance comes up in messaging, this guide shows you how to handle it. And if you are still figuring out what you want to ask for or offer, read the expectations guide to get clear on your own needs first.
